The Kirkwood Pioneers faced the Webster Groves Statesmen in the annual Turkey Day football game on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 27. The Pioneers will keep the coveted Frisco Bell after defeating the Statesmen 27-6.

Downtown Kirkwood held its annual Holiday Walk on Saturday, Nov. 22, with activities, shopping and the arrival of Santa Claus.
Wagon Food Of Food
The College School made its annual trek through Webster Groves on Friday, Nov. 21, bound for the emergency food center at Emmanuel Episcopal Church over a mile away. This year’s food drive was especially meaningful given the recent death of Emmanuel’s Ann Bain, longtime chair of the food center. The school collected 4,330 non-perishable items this year.

The Webster Groves High School Soccer Team is making its first trip to the Class 3 Missouri State Championship games after winning the quarterfinal game Nov. 8 against Poplar Bluff, 2-0.

Visitors to the Old Webster Holiday Day Open House on Sunday, Nov. 9, enjoyed local shopping, trolley and horse-drawn carriage rides, a Christmas Show and Bazaar and Santa Claus.

Kirkwood vs. Lindbergh District Semifinals
The Kirkwood Pioneers defeated the Lindbergh Flyers 35-7 Oct. 31 to advance in the Class 6 District 1 championships. Kirkwood faces Lafayette for the district championship on Friday, Nov. 7, 7 p.m., at Lyons Stadium.
Halloween With The Kirkwood High School Marching Band
The Kirkwood High School Pioneer Marching Band dressed in creative costumes to entertain at halftime during the Oct. 31 game between Kirkwood and Lindbergh high schools.
Louisiana Purchase Exhibit
A new exhibit at the Missouri History Museum boasts documents on loan from the National Archives. The exhibit will be on display through April 19, 2015.
First United Methodist Trunk or Treat
First United Methodist Church in Webster Groves held a Halloween Trunk or Treat event on Sunday, Oct. 26. Kids dressed in costumes trick or treated in the church parking lot, going from car trunk to car trunk in search of Halloween goodies. There was also a Spooky House, games and snacks.
Volunteers Making A Difference
Individuals and groups from Webster Groves and Shrewsbury had warm, sunny weather for a day of community service at the annual Make A Difference Day on Saturday, Oct. 25.
Artists Boutique Celebrates 50 Years
The 50th annual Artists Boutique, a juried show, will feature 60 artists including Boutique President Connie Copley, Joann Hemple of South County and John and Betty Shew of Affton. Event will be held on Nov. 1 and 2 at the Kirkwood Community Center.
Pioneers Suffer Tough Loss To SLUH
Kirkwood lost 38-35 to St. Louis University High School in a renewed football rivalry on Oct. 17, 2014 at Lyons Stadium.
Art On The Town In Old Webster
The Oct. 11 festival featured 30 local artists and performers along with live music, food & activities for youngsters.
