Wanted – Limping Dogs (Arthritis) • A clinical study in dogs with arthritis is being conducted with several veterinary clinics in South County, West County and the Central West End. • This research will evaluate the benefits of a safe nutritional supplement at modifying symptoms of arthritis in dogs. • Free exams, blood work and three months of a commercial joint supplement are provided. • To be eligible your dog must meet the following criteria • Dog must have lameness or a limp for at least 3 months • Dog must be off all pain or anti-inflammatory medications for 14 days • Dog must not have consumed joint supplements or joint diets within the last six months. • Dog must weigh between 10-100 pounds and greater than 18 months in age • You must be willing to bring your dog twice to a local vet for exams and blood work. • Must be willing to feed your dog a flavored tablet once a day for 6 weeks and keep a daily diary of your dog’s activity For more information and to see if your dog is eligible please call Kenneth J. Public Notice
Washington University in St. Louis is seeking comments from the public about the university in preparation for its periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency. The university will host a visit September 22–24, 2014, with a team representing The Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association. Washington University has been accredited by the Commission since 1913. The team will review the institution’s ongoing ability to meet the Commission’s Criteria for accreditation. The public is invited to submit comments regarding the university: Public Comment on Washington University in St. Louis. The Higher Learning Commission - 230 South LaSalle Street, Suite 7-500 - Chicago, IL 60604-1411 The public may also submit comments on the Commission’s Web site at: Comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of the institution or its academic programs. Comments must be in writing. All comments must be received by August 21, 2014.
