Russell Stovers Candies received approval from the Des Peres Board of Aldermen on Monday for a restaurant at the former Ahner Nursery site, 11697 Manchester Road.
While the restaurant will sell mainly candies, it will also offer cupcakes, muffins, ice-cream and coffee. It will have patio seating for 20 and inside seating for 16. Hours will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday; and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.
The restaurant is expected to be completed by Thanksgiving.
