Compost Awareness Week May 6-12

April 27, 2012
St. Louis Composting invites the public to celebrate International Compost Awareness Week (ICAW) May 6-12. This year's theme is "Compost! ... Replenish the Earth for Generations."

ICAW is a week packed with fun and educational events that offer an opportunity to learn about the benefits of composting. To celebrate, St. Louis Composting will host events at three of its facilities including a May 12 event at 39 Old Elam Ave. in Valley Park, located on the west side of Highway 141 just north of I-44.

The May 12 workshop, beginning at noon, will be to educate customers about compost, its benefits and how to begin backyard composting.
