Old Webster's Milagro Modern Mexican Restaurant To Close After March 24
March 02, 2018
Milargro Modern Mexican is moving from its Old Webster location at 20 Allen Ave. in Old Webster. Operating for eight years in Webster Groves, brothers Adam and Jason Tilford have opted not to renew their lease with Novus Development, saying the final day of service will be March 24.
"Milagro is an amazing restaurant in a terrible location, and eight years later people still have a hard time finding us," Adam Tilford said in a press release announcing the closing. "We'd love to grow the Milagro concept alongside Mission Taco Joint, but to do so we need to be more accessible to the casual diner."
The Tilfords are owners of the successful Mission Taco Joint chain, with five locations in St. Louis and Kansas City.
"We want to find another location in Webster or one of the surrounding communities, as we've built a solid customer base in our hometown," Jason Tilford added.
Milagro Modern Mexican was the first chef-inspired Mexican restaurant in St. Louis and won countless awards for Best Mexican Restaurant in St. Louis.
The tucked-away location off of West Lockwood Avenue has been home to several restaurants, including the Natural Fact Deli and Swifty's.
